Our Banana Iceblock Video

  What other fruit could we

use  for ice blocks?

Please tell us what you have tried at home.

Making Ice blocks

We had fun today making our own ice blocks.  Instead of buying them, we decided to make our own from feijoas and bananas. Arkin bought an enormous feijoa!

Do you know where your food comes from?

While we were having our brain food, we wondered where the food came from. Some of our food and fruit came from many different countries. We are going to get a map of the world to find  where the countries are.

Welcoming the children who will be turning 5 soon .

Ruaumoko  children were being really kind welcoming our visitors who will be turning 5 very soon.

Here are some photos to share with you.

Making patterns

We made special patterns today. Can you read our patterns? We talked about our patterns with our buddies.

Enjoy singing this pattern song . What comes next?

Bike riding today!

We are getting so confident with our bike riding. We keep looking ahead so we know where we are going! We are also slowing down on our bikes so we have more control when we are riding.

Preserving with Mr Loudon

Look what we found inside the pear.

What do you think we are going to do with the seeds?

Ruaumoko had a  wondering. We wanted to be able to eat pears with our icecream in winter. What could we do with our summer fruit?

Thank you Mr loudon for coming to help us with our wondering!

We are keeping our seeds in a dark warm place.

Some  words we are learning ...  produce, preserving

Where else  could we find pears that we could get

in the winter?
