Nursery Rhymes

  Learning nursery rhymes  is a great way to learn 

and hear about words that end the same.

 The children can also  hear and clap the rhythm  

of the rhyme.

 I will put more Nursery Rhymes onto our class site.

I loved my father bouncing me on his knee saying Humpty Dumpty and trying not to fall off the wall like Humpty!

Caring for our Ipads

 We are learning how to care for our ipads and  head phones in our class room .

 Hug and hold- so important to show Kia Manawanui- caring for our learning tool.

Head phones  We wrote our names on our heads phones and then learnt how to put the cord into the ipad.

Finding an app to support our learning We are learning to form the letters in our names correctly. It is called Blobble write. It gives the children immediate  feed back if they have formed the letters correctly or to try again.

We love books!

 Ruaumoko children love books.  We have a wonderful library at Makaraka school. Rachel is our librarian and is very kind. 

 We learnt where the bar code was at the back of the books and have this ready for Rachel to use her machine to record who has the book.

 We will be taking 3 or 4 books home each week. Our Library visit is usually on a Monday afternoon.

Fun at the swimming pool

 Every one had their togs and towel and enjoyed their first swim

 in our school pool!

 Ruaumoko kids are so independent as they all got undressed and dressed by themselves! 

We are so excited to get into our pool.

Monsters lunch

  Mrs Loudon read us the story called MonsterLunch. We talked about what we like to eat for our lunch. We also talked about what we would do when we were having lunch together.

 Would we be sharing food?    NO

Would we be taking food from other children's lunch ?   NO

 Would we be happy sitting with our friends eating our lunch like a family?  YES
